Singapore's success as a City in Nature means wildlife and people share ever-closer quarters. Snakes in bin centres, monitor lizards in drains, civets in roof spaces, macaques at building perimeters and bee or hornet nests near walkways are everyday realities for the people who manage properties and public spaces.
ESC provides professional wildlife management and rescue services that put animal welfare and public safety on the same page. Our officers are trained in species identification, humane handling and safe capture techniques, and every intervention starts with a proper site assessment, not a trap set by default. Wherever possible we rely on passive ushering, exclusion and habitat modification so animals leave safely and have no reason to return.
We respond to snakes (including pythons and cobras), monitor lizards, civets, long-tailed macaques, wild boar, bats, and stinging insects such as bees and hornets. We are equally at home rescuing domestic animals: cats, dogs and other pets stranded in drains, roof spaces, ledges or trees. Every ESC officer is trained and certified for work at height, so rescues from rooftops, parapets and scaffolding are a core capability, not a special request.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wildlife harmed during removal?
No. Our approach is humane-first: passive ushering and exclusion are always preferred, and where capture is necessary we use species-appropriate, welfare-tested methods.
Do you rescue cats, dogs and other pets?
Yes. Alongside wildlife, we rescue domestic animals: cats stuck on ledges or rooftops, dogs trapped in drains, pets in crawl spaces. Every officer is trained and certified for work at height, so animals stranded high up are well within our capability.
Do you handle venomous snakes?
Yes. Our officers are trained to identify and safely handle Singapore's snake species, including venomous ones such as cobras and pit vipers. Keep a safe distance, keep sight of the animal if possible, and call us.
How quickly can you respond?
We maintain 24/7 response capability for urgent cases. For non-urgent matters such as recurring civet or macaque activity, we typically schedule a site assessment within one to two business days.
Can you stop the problem from recurring?
That is precisely our focus. Removal alone rarely solves a wildlife conflict. We identify what attracted the animal and recommend exclusion and habitat modification measures that address the root cause.
